Hey guys, long time no see. I’ve been slowly getting better, but it’s been a long process. I was wanting to ask you guys a question about selling art.

I bought a few art piece over the years, some as gifts and some not, and I am trying to scale down on the things that I own to help relax myself. Do you know good, safe places to sell stuff like plush and art pieces?

I’ve thought about eBay but they do take a certain cut from the item once it sells, and some of the pieces are expensive. And they aren’t made by me, so I don’t know if I need permission from the original artist to sell them at the price I bought them or not?
I considered putting them up on here to try and sell them, and then take it down once it sold, but I don’t know if enough people would be interested who is watching me that would want to buy?

What are your options or thoughts?

And how are you guys? Life treating you all well? Hopefully better than me. 😊

In other related news, I need to give you all an update. Its been far too long since I have last done so, and those few that still watch my account deserve it. Thank you, for starters, for actually staying for so long! I'm sorry that I have done so little with my art posting wise. I had started going to a University and the time I had to put into the projects were time consuming and exhausting. 

This last semester at the University, however, was not very good. The week before I flew down to the dorms, I was having something like a panic attack. I was crying, shaking, and puked a couple of times. I was really stressed, and these attacks seemed to make my stress skyrocket. I didn't tell my friends once they came down cause I didn't want to bother them. But I couldn't hide it from my parents. They called me daily, checking up on me. I had been in the middle of one of these break downs when they had called, and knew that it would be bad to ignore it. I called my Grandpa in the middle of the first week of school, I had missed class because of another break down and my parents felt that he would be able to help me. We had talked, though it was more like he was simply just talking to help calm me down so that I could actually speak. At this point my parents began to think that it may be a smart idea to bring me home. These attacks where starting to affect my schooling and if I dropped out by Friday, I would be able to get a full refund for the classes. 
I had made an appointment to talk to my adviser to talk to her about what was happening and to find out what options I would have. I could stay and drop down to three on site classes and one online, and try to seek doctors in the city. But my parents where worried that it would be too much to try and do the classes and keep up with the homework while also trying to figure out what was wrong with my mental state. In the end, I made the call that coming back home was the best option. That way, I could go to good doctors in town and have family support. And I wouldn't have to also try to keep up with the classes. 

So I am currently back home, calling doctors to find out what is happening and also dealing with the school since I did a last minute drop. This means that I am going to have to pay for the loans which also means that I will be gone much longer from dA. I will still look at art, but I don't think that I will be returning with my art any time soon. 

Maybe, once I get better and can return to my schooling, I will be able to show more of my work that I have been creating. But only time will tell on how soon that will be.

Hey guys! Please check out this awesome plush giveaway! The artist is quite amazing and kind. Definitely worth checking it out!

I wanted to inform everyone that I will be leaving on the 27th of August (next week) to go to college in California!

I am very excited, but the dorms I will be staying at require that I set up my own wifi. So because of this, I do not know exactly if I will be able to get on the internet very often. This means that I may not be able to talk much on dA and that I will not be able to post my art (or at least not any good pictures of my art) for a while. I really would like to stay in touch with my friends here on dA though, so I have a solution to the issue that is to come.

Twitter. Look for @CatandChipmunk on there and you will find me! Though I will try to check my dA as often as I can in between classes, the best way to get a faster response will be through twitter. But you can still try getting a hold of me through dA too! I promise to try as often as I can to get internet in my dorm, but if that does not happen then this is the best solution I could come up with.

So, in a way, I am saying good bye on the 27th and may not be back until around the middle of December. I will try to comment below on this journal with updates and to inform you all how I am. And please, tell me how you are all doing as well!

1. I love mermaids. And the Ocean. And the sea life. Anything related to the water really. 
2. I enjoyed taking my Geology class in high school. We did a lot of things with not just rocks, but the weather and its wonders too.
3. I like plush. Especially hand made, since I seem them more as an art form than a toy.
4. I don't like heat. At all. But I love the snow and rain.
5. My favorite pokemon and its evolution line is Popplio. 
6. I am allergic to a lot of bushes in Wyoming. I am also allergic to rabbit fur and feathers.
7. I love to play sports, especially soccer.
8. I like playing video games as a team or in story mode. I like a good story and I am a good team player. If I can play the game. 
9. I own a Goofy hat that I bought at a First Resort store downtown. It is one of my favorite hats. 
10. I am an Indian; Cherokee. I am very proud but want to learn so much more about my culture.
11. All of my characters are designed off of personal demons that I have either come to terms with or still battle. 
12. I get emotional when given hand-made gifts. Each one is very precious and I will never be able to depart from them.
13. I watched Fantasia for the first time in December last year and I loved it! I was very inspired but couldn't do a lot of drawing because I was very sick at the time.

1. What would be your favorite game francise?
    Oh gosh, my favorite would have to be Pokemon and Fire Emblem. 
2. What would be your fav character? 
    Oh no, just one out of everything? Hmm, out of all the disney movies I would have to go with Mulan from Mulan and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. Out of all the other animated movies, I would have to go with Kubo from Kubo and The Two Strings. From the few video games that I have played, I would have to say my favorite character would be Lucina from Fire Emblem. This list can go on and on so I will stop there. X'3
3. Are you more or a country person or a city person?
    I have never lived in a large city, so I can't really answer this without having experience in living in a big city. I don't think I would have too much of an issue in living in a big city, but I think I like less people. So I would go with being a country person.
4. Has thou ever used the marvel that is..... "Lego"?
    
5. Do you prefer single player games or ones that are online with others?
    Depends. I don't mind playing with other people but if the game depends on you being able to play with other people for the story, then no. Or if you have to play with a certain amount of people to be able to complete the game, then no. 
6. Do you ever regret a thing about your life?
    Yes. I.....a friend lost a lot because I didn't see the signs of his depression or misery. I also wish I could of saved another friend from going into drugs. I wish I could of been more assertive and confident in myself. Then I wouldn't be having such an issue with trying to figure out what to do with my next step in schooling. There is a lot I regret, but at least I learned from these mistakes and will do my very best to try and not let them happen again.
7. If you could choose a super power, what would you choose for yourself?
    Honestly, it would be cool to have powers like in Avatar: The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra; some kind of nature power. Or something like Jack Frost's powers from Rise of The Guardians. Or super speed, for some reason I really like the idea of that super power. :/
8. Name your favorite type of sweet (or candy if you say it that way instead)?
    German Cake, Fruit cake (it isn't bad like everyone believes!), or Rocky Road candy bar. 
9. Have you ever done bungee jumping? o-o'
    No, but I did Zip Lining and that was how I discovered my fear of heights. I went over a canyon in Costa Rica. It was cool. But I will never go over a canyon again. Ever. Not unless you can go in pars both ways.
10. What is your favorite pet?
    Dog or Cat. Though I really want to try my hand at having a miniature pig or silky chicken. 
11. What games systems do you have?
    I have a Game Boy Advance, a DS, a 3DS, a Wii, and a WiiU. We have more, but those are the systems I play. 
12. What is your favorite type of art?
    I haven't done much in the digital arts, so I can't really say that. But out of the traditional art, I came to find that I like plaster (carving), painting on glass (stained glass mimicry), and mixed media works. I have always loved markers but I like mixing them with other mediums like pastels, water colors, and paints. I like 2d things with 3d aspects. 
13. And finally: Do you think SEGA will make an awesome Sonic game any time soon?
    I hope so. The new game that they are coming out with seems interesting, but I will have to wait and see the reviews and lets plays before I consider a purchase.
